Celebrities generally aren’t know for being careful with their money, but some major stars have realised the value of taking out an insurance policy. We take a look at the 10 most expensively insured celebrity body parts.

Tom Jones - Chest Hair - $7 million

Imagine that you work for an insurance company, most of your friends probably don’t want you talking to them about insurance, but when a request to insure the chest hair of Tom Jones arrives on your desk – everyone you know will want to hear about that. Underwriter John Thomas said that the request was definitely amongst the most odd insurance requests that he’s ever had to deal with. He said, “Admittedly, this is one of the most obscure requests I’ve had but I still came up with a wording that addressed the need,”
America Ferrera – Teeth ($10 million)

Is any smile worth $10 million? The star of Ugly Betty had her teeth insured for $10m by Aquafresh White Trays, who she was representing. Ferrera said, “It’s very flattering to have my smile insured for $10 million, it’s not something that I ever imagined happening.”
Keith Richards – Index Finger ($1.6 million )

Hellraiser, Keith Richards had his index finger insured for $1.6 million. The fact that the Rolling Stones star was even conscious enough to put his name on the contract is quite surprising.
David Beckham – Feet and Legs – ($70 million)

Known for his free kicks and pinpoint passing -the poster boy for soccer in the USA insured his feet and legs for $70 million. With his planned move to AC Milan in the summer of 2009 – Beckham will need to keep up his insurance policy if he is to avoid anything happening to his legs when he comes up against some of the most cynical defenders in the world.
Mariah Carey - Legs - $ 1 Billion

Yep, you read that right, pop star Mariah Carey had her legs insured for $1 Billion after agreeing to front Gillette’s “”Legs Of A Goddess” advertisement campaign. Surprisingly, her legs were insured for more than David Beckham who’s legs and feet were only worth a paltry $70 million.
Bruce Springsteen - Voice - $6 million

Music legend Bruce Springsteen had his voice cords insured for a cool $6 million. Springsteen’s voice was insured for $5m for Marlene Dietrich’s.
David Lee Roth - Sperm - $1 million

You have to really go some distance to out-weird Tom Jones – but David Lee Roth somehow managed it when he insured his sperm for $1 million. The bizarre insurance policy was to be paid out if David Lee Roth managed to make one of his groupies pregnant.
Merv Hughes – Moustache - $317,000

The Australian cricket legend has one of the most memorable moustaches in sport. Merv insured his legendary moustache. The spectacular moustache was insured for over a quarter of million dollars.
Michael Flatley – Feet- $45 million

The star of Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, had his feet insured for $45 million. According to his official website, “Michael was recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records … for having the highest insurance premium placed on a dancer’s legs at $40,000,000. “
Dolly Parton – Breasts - $600,000

Country singing legend, Dolly Parton had her “assets” insured for the considerable sum of $600,000. Dolly Parton once said onstage “it takes a lot of money to make me look this cheap”. If her insurance policy is anything then she’s not cheap at all.
